Today is the day that everyone chooses to go for their cheat meal, and obviously the most craved things revolve around oily, fried, and carb-fueled foods such as burgers and pizzas.
We’re going to try to be a little bit creative about our pizzas just to avoid the disaster that they cause our bodies, so we thought we’d give you a few ideas on how this craved meal can become a dietary staple just with a few adjustments!
Dough: There are so many ways to avoid the usually flour dough of a pizza. We recommend that you try out these pizza bases instead:
1) Quinoa base
2) Sweet potato base
3) Cauliflower base
Toppings: Rule #1 to keeping it healthy is to avoid the fatty cheeses and stick to mixed vegetables on top, not only do they taste great but they look amazing too!
In the picture, we’ve got a vegan pizza with a quinoa base (with vegetable charcoal) – and the toppings include: Beetroot hummus, roasted chickpeas, avocado, basil and a drizzle of cashew-naise! How delicious does that sound??
